(Posted April 25, 2012, at 11:27 a.m.) Crews are making progress on the Eastside burn at Campbell Mesa this morning, and plan to complete all 400 acres approved for today.
Smoke has been noticeable in east Flagstaff. Winds are forecast to pick up within the next couple of hours and will help disperse smoke for the remainder of the day. Precipitation expected to arrive this evening will limit residual smoke production and overnight smoke impacts.
Upon completion of these 400 acres, initial entry burning efforts on the Campbell Mesa portion of the Eastside project will be finished.
