(Posted May 3, 2012 at 7:45 p.m.) The Telegraph Fire is burning 2 miles south of Picket Post Mountain near Superior. The fire size is estimated at 208 acres.
There is not an estimated containment percentage available at his time; however crews made good progress over the last 24 hours and held the fire at 208 acres.
Fire crews will continue work on securing the fire line and conducting mop-up operations over the next 24 hours.
No retardant drops were needed today and all remaining aircraft have been released. The three heavy air tankers will remain stationed at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport for the time being.
Fire Activity: Fire activity is expected to be minimal with cooler temperatures and higher humidity levels forecast for tonight.
