(Posted May 11, 2012 at 11:10 a.m.) The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) has extended an Ozone High Pollution Advisory through Saturday, May 12, for areas within and bordering Maricopa County.
An Ozone High Pollution Advisory remains in effect for today.
ADEQ issues a High Pollution Advisory when the highest concentration of ozone or particulate matter levels may exceed the federal health standard.
People with respiratory or other health problems that make them more sensitive to air pollution are advised to limit their outdoor activity.
