(Posted June 10, 2012 at 8:27 p.m.) The 257 Fire is burning south of Superior and east of Hwy 177. The fire is approximately 550 acres and zero percent contained.
Ground and air resources engaged. The fire ran, torched, and spotted today. Tonight, the plan is to construct direct line head of fire, hold and improve containment lines. Burnout operations should increase the fire to around 1,200 acres.
