Arizona Preparedness Month (APM) shares some similarities with National Preparedness Month. Both are in September. Both raise public awareness to the importance of emergency preparedness. What set them apart are the details.

APM is focused on personalizing the Preparedness Month message. That means inventing new opportunities for Arizonans to express talents and their thoughts on emergency preparedness.

One such opportunity is the APM Video Contest being held for the first time this year. It is open to Arizona residents age 13 and older.

Participants should e-mail a completed Video Contest Submission Form to azein.azdema.gov upon loading their video YouTube.

APM 2010 also includes the Just in Case Arizona Poster Contest, an annual event co-sponsored by the Arizona Department of Health Services and open to first- through sixth-graders.
