Just in Case Arizona / Arizona Preparedness Month Poster Contest
While emergency preparedness requires a continuous effort, September is Arizona Preparedness Month and the opportune time for Arizonans to ready themselves, their families and their communities for all types of emergencies.
A new school year is an occasion for teachers, librarians, and parents to introduce children to Just In Case Arizona and its all-hazards preparedness message of be prepared to stay…be prepared to go.
One of this year’s Arizona Preparedness Month activities is a poster contest for first- through sixth-graders.
The Arizona Preparedness Month poster contest starts with the beginning of the school year in August and the last day to turn in posters is at 5 p.m. on Friday October 7, 2011.
If your school is interested in participating, please contact Juanita Roberts at (602) 364-0551 or via email at Juanita.Roberts@azdhs.gov.
